B-90 Gambel’s Quail

$150.00

Some like it hot! The Gambel’s quail lives in the deserts of the Southwest: the Sonoran, Mohave, and Chihuahuan. They are often found in mesquite thickets along river valleys, shrub lands and cactus. They also like dry grasslands, and agricultural fields.
They are often confused with the California quail. Some clear distinctions between the two are the California quail have a more scaly appearance and the males have a black patch on their lower breast.
